Robin Spinelli Black is the mother of triplets born at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2007 at 30 weeks gestation.  Her son Ben weighed 3 lbs 12 oz, and her daughter Kate and son Nate were both micro-preemies, born at 1 lb 12 oz and 1 lb 15 oz respectively.  The Blacks spent 3 months in Yale’s NICU and experienced many complications, however they are now healthy, active and spunky 11 year olds!

Robin’s experience in the NICU led her to The Tiny Miracles Foundation, where she is currently a Parent Support Mentor at Danbury Hospital and the Secretary of the Board of Directors.  Robin lives in Ridgefield, CT with her husband Scott, their blended brood of 5 children, and their rescue dog Cassidy. She feels blessed and grateful to have the opportunity to help other families through the NICU experience through TTMF.

Robin Spinelli Black received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA in 1998.  After graduating, Robin began her career in management consulting with PwC before transitioning into Human Resources. Robin has held various HR leadership positions at Diageo, Waterworks, Nestle and Blue Buffalo and is currently the Chief People Officer of Ivy Rehab, a network of outpatient rehabilitation clinics headquartered in White Plains, New York.
