Meghan gave birth, in April 2013, to a 28 week preemie while on vacation with her family in Cape Cod. Following a traumatic birth, Bridget spent the first month of her life in the NICU at Tufts Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA and was transferred to the Danbury NICU for the remainder of her NICU stay. It was challenging to balance NICU time with older sisters at home and recovery from a significant physical and emotional trauma. Bridget kept us on our toes and waiting, but finally came home on her due date! Meghan has been a parent support mentor with Tiny Miracles since 2017 and is grateful to be able to support families in the NICU and make meaningful connections during a challenging time.
