Tiny Miracles office with Zoom option available if needed
1540 Post Road, 2nd floor
Darien, CT
To support all mothers in our community, Tiny Miracles will be hosting a FREE weekly birth trauma counseling group this Fall for 8 weeks. We recognize that 1 in 3 individuals experience traumatic births characterized by extreme physical, emotional, or psychological distress. It is important to call out that it is the woman’s perception of her trauma that determines the diagnosis. Traumatic childbirth increases risk for postpartum depression (PPD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis, and anxiety.
This counseling support group is open to all women who had a traumatic birth, whether or not they had a NICU experience. We will be meeting at the Darien office every Monday at 12 PM beginning September 30 and ending November 18. There is an option to join virtually via Zoom should that be more convenient for you.
This support group will be led by Lindsay Quinlan, MA Candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University, who is a member of the Tiny Miracles family and has personal birth trauma and NICU experience.
Should you wish to join this counseling group, please RSVP below or email jenniferjohnson@ttmf.org and we will follow up with more information. We ask that only individuals who can commit to attending this group weekly – either virtually or in person for the 8 weeks – reach out. It is important that members commit to attending weekly so as to foster group cohesion for maximum benefit to everyone in the group.
