In this session, we will discuss common gastrointestinal issues in young infants such as reflux, constipation, colic, milk allergy and different types of formulas. After this session you will have a better understanding of what is normal behavior for an infant and what to look out for that might be a sign of something more serious. Presentation followed by Q&A.
Dr. Koral is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine. He received his BS in Biomedical Engineering and his MD at Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland. After a year of primary care, he returned to training and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. His current interests include eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders and endoscopy. Dr. Koral is the main clinician in the Eosinophilic Esophagitis program at Yale. He is also the main clinician at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital Park Avenue Medical Center, serving patients throughout Western and Southern Connecticut.
