The Center for Postpartum Support specializes in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of perinatal mood disorders. Pamela is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1997. She went to work in a child focused bureau in Stratford and was later employed at a drug & alcohol treatment facility in Stamford.
Jennifer Baumgold has over 10 years of clinical experience and earned her Master in Social Work degree at Hunter College in Manhattan. She began her career working for the New York City Fire Department in the Counseling Service Unit. With the FDNY, she honed her clinical skills treating a multitude of mental health issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Acute Stress Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bereavement and Grief, Traumatic Loss, and Anger Management. She also works extensively with clients coping with traumatic life events such as divorce, infertility, perinatal loss, and chronic illness as well as transitional life stages such as parenthood, college, retirement and aging.
Amy utilizes a holistic approach to provide individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults who are struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, perinatal loss, postpartum depression and transitional life stresses.
Amy practices mindfulness meditation and uses it with her clients to help evoke a sense of calm, focus and serenity during the therapeutic recovery process.
